Wow!!!!!!
To date, 30 people have expressed an interest in the 2009 golf trip. Of that 30, twenty three have purchased or redeemed miles for their airline ticket. People are already discussing things like, preparing breakfast in their condos, stocking the fridge with an assortment of refreshments, playing cards and everything else that fits into a golf trip. Of course there have been request along the lines of, "what if I want a room by myself?" and "what if I rent my own car?" These questions have been answered, but how long with this go on? One day the answer may be, "Well just make your own plans and we'll see you there!"
Airfare with the cheaper rates may be sold out, so if you haven't purchased your ticket, you may want to do so soon. Michael Helm has visited the condos in Phoenix and we should get a full report when he returns. His initial phone report gave the property a good review with only 1 drawback. When all the details are in, you will be provided that review.
So be sure to schedule your vacation days and get that golf game together for May!!!

INITIAL INFORMATION
The dates of May 13 through May 17 have been selected as the time frame for the 2009 BGA Golf Trip. Without a doubt this promises to be one of the best golf trips yet. For the first time, the accommodations will be condos. Each unit is complete with a large common area, flat screen TV's, balcony and a kitchen with all the trimmings. The group has selected Meridian CondoResorts for the accommodations and they look wonderful!!! But since this is about golf, all of the courses that are being played are top notch.

Gold Canyon Dinosaur Mountain.
The initial deposit must be paid by January 31 with another payment due February 28. The balance must be paid on or before April 31. This is a trip that you don't want to miss. Returning to defend the Teddy Rhodes award for Low Gross, will be Leon Rhodes from Atlanta, GA. An accomplished golfer from Southern University, Leon has walked away with this honor two years in a row. Match Play Champion Al Tervalon is also expected to return and defend his title. A number of participates have set their sights on these awards for 2009 so it should be interesting. New comer Stacy Jones is considered a serious threat in all competetions. 2008 Money List Winner, James Perry is also considered a contender for these titltes. Without a doubt, the competetion will be tough, but everyone is also committed to making this a fun trip. Baton Rouge resident and BGA member Ricky Encalade will be joining th group once again for the trip.
Former BGA member and Previous Best Dressed winner Ricky Wiley is now a resident in the Phoenix area. Hopefully he will be able to drop in and join us for a round or two.
Ronnie Shields will once again take on the duties of Scores and Competition Commissioner.
David Ellis will serve as Dinner and Awards Commissioner.
Daryl Brewin and Kevin Celestine will serve as Co Ground Transportation Commissioners.
Darius Malone will serve as Starter / Skins Pot Commissioner.
Leon Rhodes, James Perry, and Nate Maxwell will serve as the Rules and Competetion
Committee.
Tony Hamiton and Vickie McGhee will serve as Time Commissioners
Since space is limited you don't want to put off securing your spot for the 2009 Golf Trip.
